- m. (שָׁלַט) control; (sub יד) handling. Y.Shek.VI, 49d חצי טפח … לש׳ allow one half of a hand-breadth on each side (of the Ark) for handling (the tablets) (Ms. M. לשילובן or לשילוכן, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. p. 53, note).
